May 3, 2018 marks what would have been Brady's 10th birthday. He experienced so much in his 3 1/2 years, it's hard to imagine what he would have accomplished by the age of 10.

He enjoyed trips to the lake, swimming at the pool, going to the beach. Experiences that many children are lucky to have let alone one medically complex child who fought for his life since the center picture below at just day one.

He touched so many, blessing us with a one of a kind smile, showing us what true strength and determination really looks like and most of all, teaching us the most valuable of lessons. My favorite lessons learned from Brady are never take anything for granted, don't complain unless you truly have something to complain about, and every single life is perfect and precious.

In his passing, I vowed publicly in my eulogy to celebrate his life and I like to think I do so each and every day. His pictures are displayed proudly throughout our home and at work. I grasp every opportunity to show him off sharing memories, videos, pictures and stories. On the anniversary of his passing, I take time to reflect and share hundreds of pictures of him on social media. I want all to remember and those that never met him to get to know him. And each year on his birthday, we release balloons, the exact number of what age he would have been. This is not a sad moment, but a celebration.

This year, we will proudly release 10 balloons, but will also celebrate Brady by doing something big. I can't think of anything more fitting than helping kids like Brady. Giving back while also continuing to leave his mark.

Therefore, I invite you to Brady's 10th birthday celebration. I intend to raise $10,000 by Brady's 10th birthday and an ultimate goal of $25,000 for Norton Children's Hospital Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. And you are invited to join me.
